The 2024 Celebrate Jamestown Reunion was a tremendous success, bringing together over 200 descendants, community members, and visitors for a weekend of celebration, education, and connection.
Weekend Highlights
Friday Evening Welcome Reception
The weekend kicked off with a warm welcome reception at the community gathering space, where families reconnected and newcomers were introduced to the Jamestown story. Elders shared memories while children learned about their heritage through interactive activities.
Saturday Heritage Day
Saturday’s full program included:
- Morning historical tours of Jamestown’s key sites, led by family historians
- Archaeological presentation featuring recent findings from ongoing research
- Artisan demonstrations showcasing traditional crafts and skills
- Evening banquet with keynote speakers and recognition of family elders
Sunday Service and Farewell
The weekend concluded with a moving church service that honored our ancestors and celebrated the continuing legacy of faith that has sustained the Jamestown community for over 150 years.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Mark your calendars for next year’s Celebrate Jamestown Reunion, taking place the last weekend of July 2025. We’re planning an even bigger celebration to continue honoring our heritage and strengthening family bonds.
